About This Text
Author: Nathan Sternhartz
Composed: Breslau, Prussia, c.1810 – c.1820 CE
Likutei Tefilot is a collection of 210 prayers composed by Rebbe Natan Sternhartz, foremost student of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov. The work is based on Rebbe Nachman’s teachings that one should supplement the set liturgy with individualized prayers, and that one should pray to God for help in fulfilling the ideals expressed in the Torah that they study. Arranged according to the sections of Rebbe Nachman’s Likutei Moharan, Likutei Tefilot consists of Rebbe Natan’s personal prayers that he recorded and later generalized so that others could recite as well.
