Nishmat HaBayit is a compilation of responsa composed by a team of Yoatzot Halakhah (women advisors on legal matters) based in Nishmat, an institution for advanced Torah study for women based in Jerusalem, and edited by Nishmat’s founders, Rabbi Yehuda and Rabbanit Chana Henkin. The questions in this book cover issues related to pregnancy, pregnancy loss, childbirth, and contraception, and reflect questions submitted through Nishmat’s open hotline and website. Each chapter includes a brief answer and then a more detailed legal explanation. The book also includes appendices explaining relevant medical topics.
