Ohel Ya'akov is a collection of homiletical commentaries on the Torah from the Dubner Maggid, Rabbi Ya'akov Kranz, who was known for his straightforward messages and clever, relatable parables. It was posthumously edited and published by Avraham Dov Ber Flahm, who found Rabbi Kranz’s notes in Mezeritch, where he began his rabbinic career. Flahm made it his lifelong project to publish them. The commentary was published incrementally in five volumes, from 1830 to 1863. Flahm also included introductions and commentaries explaining Rabbi Kranz’s writings.
