About This Text
Author: Meir Halevi Rotenberg
Ohr Lashamayim (“Light to the Sky”) is a collection of teachings of 19th-century Rabbi Meir HaLevi Rotenberg of Apt, arranged according to the weekly Torah portion. While most of the insights are kabbalistic in nature, the work also includes responsa and commentary written in pilpul style. Ohr Lashamayim was compiled and published posthumously by the author’s grandson.
