About This Text
Teshuvot Meshiv Davar is a 19th-century collection of responsa by Rabbi Naftali Tzvi Yehuda Berlin, known by the acronym Netziv. It consists of answers that Berlin wrote in response to questions he received from communities worldwide on halakhic issue and general public affairs. Berlin prepared the book for publication toward the end of his life while in Warsaw after the closure of his yeshiva in Volzhin. His wife and children published the book in 1894, six months after his passing. The work is arranged topically according to the four sections of the Shulchan Arukh.
