Bava Kamma (״The First Gate״) is the first of a series of three tractates in Seder Nezikin (“Order of Damages") that deal with civil matters. Bava Kamma focuses on the laws of torts, including damages inflicted by one’s property and damages inflicted by people, such as theft and injury.
