In this project based learning (PBL) lesson, students will create a fictitious business which helps clients prepare for the seder. Students will research the haggadah and text from the Sefaria library to determine how to prepare for the seder. They will create a list of services that they will offer to their customers which they will present in an attractive brochure or in a commercial.
Big Idea: The seder is conducted in a proscribed, orderly manner which is explained in the haggadah and other texts. Preparation of ritual items and foods is an important aspect of getting ready for Pesach and the seder.
Learning objectives:
Students will be able to identify the ritual items and foods used at the seder.
Students will be able to produce an advertisement that outlines necessary seder preparations.
