
כִּי שָׁמַע קוֹל תַּרְנְגוֹלָא, לֵימָא: ״בָּרוּךְ … אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לַשֶּׂכְוִי בִּינָה לְהַבְחִין בֵּין יוֹם וּבֵין לָיְלָה״.
כִּי פָּתַח עֵינֵיהּ, לֵימָא: ״בָּרוּךְ … פּוֹקֵחַ עִוְּרִים״.
כִּי תָּרֵיץ וְיָתֵיב, לֵימָא: ״בָּרוּךְ … מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים״.
Upon HEARING the sound of the rooster crow at dawn, one should say, "Blessed is the one who gave that creature the capacity to distinguish between day and night."
Upon OPENING our eyes each morning, one should say, "Blessed is the one who has given sight to the blind."
Upon SITTING up straight in bed , one should say, "Blessed is the one who sets captives free."
